The Arrest of Ivan
I woke up this morning and received the attached following message from the SOCA:

Hi Barrett
I thought you might like to know that the three defendants (including MAKSAKOV) who were at the heart of the extortion against the gaming community were yesterday found guilty and sentenced to 8 years in Prison in the Russian Federation.
The email was from an agent that I worked with when my company Prolexic first started, back then it was called DigiDefense. At the time, Dayton Turner, Anna Claiborne, and Glenn Lebumfacil were the entire staff. We worked harder than I could imagine to get the company on its feet. We also spent a large effort tracking down some of these idiot DDoS people and our efforts finally resulted in the imprisonment of three people. Chances are they will get Tuberculosis and they may die serving their eight year term.
It took several years for this to finally happen, the email below was the email I sent to the SOCA (then the NHTCU), it shows the original break we had in discovering who actually was behind these attacks:

Ivan is the name that was given to us via eXe during ICQ chat. His last name, address, and phone number are now known.
We will try to add this to our full report.

Nearly two and a half years later Ivan Maksokov along with his other accomplices Alexander Petrov of Astrakhan, and Denis Stepanov of St Petersburg were sentenced to eight years imprisonment and fined $3,700.
Hurricane Wilma
The clips in this video are shots done during Hurricane Wilma in 2005. A lot of it was shot from the 26th floor of a highrise in Fort Lauderdale. It starts with the power grid going dead, the rest is pretty obvious.
Car Fire
One morning we were woken around 3AM, we looked outside and this car was on fire. After the video ended it took another hour for the entire thing to be put out. It's not every day you wake up with this sort of thing from your back patio.
Photos
Still Photos - Rachelle and I recently got around to setting up a photo gallery, we also finally got a SLR digital camera so we can enjoy the process of taking photos. I'm not too big on making all of this public, so I may password protect this over time. We'll see how it goes! Enjoy.
